NANANA, NA SHOCK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So it’s finally been declared; hands down victory for The President, Prof. Mills. I think this was any way expected. Indeed it came as no surprise to me when he won because in my article preceding this, I did state categorically that Mills would win but what I wasn’t sure of was how enormous the margin would be.

It’s now formal and clear, that Nana Konadu, has been severely whipped and disciplined by the rod of the Old Prof. She has perhaps been taught that "the proof of the pudding is in the eating". What a comprehensive defeat!!!!!!!!! "How are the mighty fallen" hmmmmmmm, well but God knows everything Nana, take it cool......

I humbly suggest to them(the Rawlingses) that the next time they want to engage in such a preposterous and frivolous adventure, they should be mindful of the fact that Ghanaians or precisely the NDC delegates have become consistently discerning and can no longer succumb to any charismatic character in exercising their franchise.

It is also an imperative lesson for the Rawlingses and those irate and Recalcitrant FONKAR group that unnecessary noise does not necessarily win elections.

Maybe someone should offer Konadu some soothing Pain Relief  or otherwise, the way I saw her emotional demeanor and the unprecedented shock that hit her, so overwhelmingly, one would not rule out the fact that she would probably need some “apio”, to calm down her nerves.

Oh woman, why do you degrade yourself by digging your own pit and falling into it? It wasn’t as if she wasn’t told. What a disgrace, what a shock, Konadu has crossed, jumped and somersaulted into her own ditch, what a shame!!!!!!!.

Having lost so heavily, Konadu should wake up from her slumber and not consider this elections as a “bolt from the blue” but a categorical and impeccable fact that the NDC is no longer under the servitude of Rawlings but matured enough to take “bold” decisions, which ironically was their campaign message.

Indeed it was a landslide defeat for the president, unprecedented in the history of Ghana, throughout its democratic dispensation. Winning with 2771, constituting 96.9% of the total votes cast and a miserable 90 votes, constituting 3.1 % for Konadu, is enough to shut the spurious criticisms of Rawlings and his non-deductive arguments.

I would want to wish the President as well as Nana Konadu all the best. Nana should accept the lost in good faith and accept the obvious fact that “they’ve bitten the dust” and in a disgraceful manner at that.

I would finally wish to add that the NDC should work towards a peaceful and harmonious co-existence and as a matter of urgency "bury the hatchet". Members of both sides namely FONKAR and GAME should “smoke the peace” pipe and shy away from unnecessary name calling, vitriolic attacks, vituperative and vulgar attacks on each other. But all the same,  NANANA, NA SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its was unfortunate tht they(Rawlings') took such a step ie challenging the sitting prez. I was surprised whn this issue wasnt resolved n they actually had to go n contest.Yes they were soundly beaten but most of the issues they raised still remain. I am of the firm view that Rawlings had legimate concerns but his posture n the medium through which he presented them left much to be desired. But that does not mean that the issues raised are of no importance. YEs, Mills is surrounded by 'greedy bastards' wher were the Ahoi brothers whn JErry thems were in the trenches on the campaign trail. wher was Totobi whn rawlings was rallying pple to go to Tain to canvass for votes for Prof? If Rawlings cannot advise or dictate to Mills ,then why the 'hell' shd the Fante Mafia be allowed to do so? Two wrongs dont make a right. But those are not the issues i want to dwell on. The issues are these: Is it because their hands r clean tht is why Wereko Brobbey & Mpiani and the dozens of NPP functionaries like them are walking free or is it because someone or somepple havent done their work well?what of the suspected killers of the Ya Naa? Hv they been freed bcos they did no wrong? We, NDC made so much noise about prosecuting the killers of the Ya Na that the least we could do was at least prepare a solid docket onthe facts available before prosecuting the guys? But what did the Professor of Law and his team of advisors do? They hurriedly put togethe the report of the waaku commision on the ya Na murder Which was compiled during the NPP era n send it to court only for the case to be thrown out of court! my beef with them is , they shd hv done a more thorough work cos even the Npp did not consider tht as enough evidence to bring before the courts. If any of your family was a victim of this dastardly act, and u were promised by a party that whn u vote them into power they will prosecute the perpertrators of this crime and all they did was this shoddy attempt to cover their asses what would you say?
Lets move on to Issa Mobila . This man was tortured and killed whilst in the custody of the police and Military! Why should it take forever for the culprits to be found?Though examples are many , i think these should suffice.

In the opening statment of my submission I mentioned that I was surprised things went this far . I said so cos i thought those surrounding the president will look beyond the noise Rawlings was making nad examine the facts. I thought they would call him and jaw jaw with him as to how they were strategising to fulfil these campaign promises. That is one way this could have been resloved . I hear some pple make the half -hearted attempt to claims that they tried several times to reason with him but to no avail. Another way this impasse could have been resolved was not to invovle him but to go on to put things right by finding solutions to these problems. From where I sit , they did neither and instead decided to call the bluff of Rawlings that he cannot do anything and that his time is past so they need not listen to him. yesterday's elections proved that he is no longer a force to reckon with or he is not as that influential as he used to be. My only fear is that they (Mills & his team) do not get complacent and think they can disregard the feelings of the people or take them for granted and think they can still win the election. Rawlings may no longer be a force to reckon with but the issues he raised are genuine and cant be ignored or swept under the carpet.Kudos Descy.
